Sweet Fiend plays ethereal, intimate, and catchy bedroom pop. It’s the newest project from Harley Burns, the prolific singer/songwriter/guitarist behind the Triangle’s Pool Boy and Mature Fantasy. After moving to Western North Carolina during the pandemic, Harley experimented with composing, recording, and mixing music by themselves out of necessity. From this isolation blossomed a handful of melancholy, delicate compositions that then became Sweet Fiend. Building off of Pool Boy’s penchant for catchy hooks, Sweet Fiend’s songs are more intimate and dreamy with haunting and lush harmonies. Harley’s lyrics elevate the familiar and intimate scenes of life, speaking to themes of yearning, relationships, and internal growth, while invoking nature as a balm. At live performances, Nick Ingkatanuwat sets the energy of the songs through his intuitive bass playing, and Mike Hudson adds his natural pop sensibilities on drums and vocals.

TOUCH TANK (erotic sci-fi/electronic pop) As Touch Tank, Karin Lanz and Simon McGorman harmonize heartache, cosmic dread, and transmutational fantasies over a lush, beat-driven synthscape of live loops and throbbing bass.

MEAN HABIT is a grungy punk duo. Their music offers a glimpse into the reality of trauma and recovery within a community: from raw internal struggle to cheeky rage enticing you to act.
