Maryland-born, New Jersey-raised, and now based in North Carolina, Konvo is a purpose-driven artist whose name speaks to his mission: sparking meaningful conversation through music. Influenced by hip-hop icons like Biggie, Jay-Z, Rakim, and DMX, Konvo fuses gritty lyricism, sharp flow, and compelling hooks to create music that’s as introspective as it is impactful.
His dedication to growth and authenticity has earned him a feature on HipHopDX for his single “Don’t Run”, a performance slot on the A3C Festival’s TIMY (This Is My Year) stage, and a spotlight appearance on the return of BET’s Freestyle Friday.
In 2018, Konvo released “Silicone”, a standout single that tackles themes of authenticity and emotional honesty. The track set the stage for his 2019 album, T.I.T.T.Y (Things I Think to Tell You)—a reflective and bold project rooted in faith, self-awareness, and metaphor. Framing life as a mother and wisdom as her milk, the album encourages listeners to feed on truth, grow through pain, and find clarity in chaos.
For years, Konvo built his presence through local performances across North Carolina, developing a loyal grassroots following through high-energy shows and sharp storytelling. After stepping back to regroup and refocus, he is now making a full-force return to music—with new material currently in the works and a renewed commitment to elevating his sound and message.
Known for carrying the energy of a calm demeanor with a storm inside, Konvo balances raw emotion with calculated delivery. As his art evolves, so does his personal journey—learning not just how to be heard, but that he is worthy of being heard. Whether exploring heavy themes or crafting commercially engaging records, he maintains a rare blend of conscious storytelling and broad appeal.
Real Thought is a Hip Hop artist from Jacksonville, North Carolina. It was there he found his passion for music and immediately got lost in the craft. A through and through Hip Hop head; Real tried anything from making beats and DJ’ing, to breakdancing and graffiti. But being an MC is what came natural to him. At 6 years old; Real was already writing songs, performing on stage, and jumping into cyphers.
In high school, Real and a few close friends started a rap group called Nu Era. Together they released 3 full length projects during the height of the mixtape era. People gravitated towards their gritty punchlines and pushed their music much farther than expected. This gave Real the motivation to focus on music even more.
While in college, Real Thought performed constantly and released his first solo project – “Live Free”. This was just before Real got seriously involved with activism. Between music and founding organizations like the ECU Cypher (of Cypher UniverCity), InjustUS, and slamming with Word of Mouth, Real began to make a name for himself. And got a chance to work with rappers, poets, and activists from every angle of the culture. He tells these stories in his latest projects – “The Format”, “5 Course”, and “Unreleased”
