The Lover Boyz is a four part harmony group that has been performing in Durham for over 30 years.  Their smooth vocal blend and tight dance steps will lift you up and get you moving.  They’re an integral part of what has historically made Durham a city of music and are not to be missed.  Do you want to dance?  Do you want to feel good?  Catch their set and revolving backing band anytime you can.  Their shows are sparse and packed with energy.  If you like The Four Tops, Cameo, Change or The Modulations you’ll definitely dig this group, currently backed by the soul crushing twang of Kym Register and Meltdown Rodeo and sometimes special appearances by Phil Cook, Brevan Hampden and Darion Alexander

Mr L Ready is known to the fellows as Less and raised in Amityville Long Island.  He’s enjoyed experiences such as sitting in with Los Lobos on percussions and recorded a single named Jody. He met the Lover boyz which has been a match made in heaven.

Raymond Horton has been in entertainment industry most of his life.  He sings with a group named the Righteous and the Cimarron Band and is a gigging vocalist across the state.

Pierce McCoy has been in Durham his whole life and recently recorded “Where is She” by Blue Steam.  He’s recorded demos with John Key Nick Allen Cornerstone in Washington DC, The Main Ingredients in New York Atlantic Records and produced singles with many Atlantic Records artists including: Hamilton Bohannon and California Malibus Family Circle.

Pete has been singing a/ Peirce and Ray for over a decade and takes the heart wrenching lead that will melt you in your shoes.

Come see what Durham has always had to offer.  Come see The Lover Boyz.
