The Pinhook is excited to offer something we’ve been wanting to do for a LONG time now – a sliding scale basic sound school for Queer and BIPOC folks! These classes will be led by Chuck – one of our (and many other venue’s / festival’s) amazing queer sound people. It will be a two part series and you are welcome to come to one or both! We’re still working on curriculum / the deets but below a rough sketch of topics we’ll cover. And these sessions are going to be PHK sound system focused but can be translated to other small / mid sized venues. Each day will have opportunities to get some hands on experience and ask questions. And we hope at the end of these two sessions you’ll feel more confident running very basic sound and exploring being an audio tech further!
