Mira Lazuli is an Algerian-Quebecois multi instrumentalist from Montreal where she studied classical and jazz. Playing and writing music is a form of self therapy, it is a safe place where she can let her thoughts and emotions take form in an artistic way. She writes songs about queer relationships, healing and self love that mixes sapphic pop, disco and electronic music.

Miriam Hacksaw (she/they) is a queer Malayali-American fiddler and banjoist based in New Orleans. Alongside performing solo, she plays in the diaspora punk band Blowgun and tours as the fiddler for the Flotsam River Circus.

Sugaree String Society brings to the heart of Carrboro, North Carolina a refreshing and hypnotic return to the roots of folk music – tradition, culture, community, and history embodied through song and storytelling.
