We’re Kid Alumni, a five-piece indie rock band out of Durham, NC. Our sound pulls from Midwest Emo, punk, Americana, indie, and even a touch of jazz — loud, rowdy, but with a soft heart.

At our core, we love playing together, sharing love, and building an environment that’s fun, healing, and uplifting. Our songs are honest reflections of the human experience: growing up, love, nostalgia, inside jokes, surreal moments, and even the awkward, funny bits of being alive. We want you to know it’s okay to come as you are, and maybe feel a little less alone when you hear us.

Kid Alumni started as a duo that needed a full band for a gig — but what could’ve been a one-off turned into something real. Now it’s Haley (vocals/guitar), Jesse (bass), Zak (drums/backing vocals), Sam (lead guitar), and Jackson (rhythm guitar). Together, we’ve found a sound that feels both personal and communal, the kind of music you can scream along to and also sit quietly with.

We’re still new — working on our debut EP and finding our sea legs — but every show we play, whether in a bar or a basement, is full of energy: rowdy, emotional, and intimate. If you come see us, we hope you leave feeling heard, connected, and maybe a little sweaty from singing along.

We’re a duo from Raleigh, NC, who are on a mission to share great rock n roll music with the world. We take inspiration from legends like Led Zeppelin, The British Invasion bands, 70’s classic rock and more contemporary artists like Jack White. Expect a few more singles coming out this year!

Strangers Until Now is an indie/alternative band blending raw emotion with atmospheric soundscapes.

We all hail from Raleigh/Cary area, and met each other at different times and somehow all found each other and formed a sound we call our own.

Influenced from artist that we love like Daniel Caesar, Dijon, Tiny Habits and others. We have a shared love for storytelling, that feels like a conversation—intimate, vulnerable, and uplifting.
