Flower Gauntlet’s songs are an attempt to find stable footing in a world that gets a little wobblier each day. An effort to mourn what’s been lost and to document what’s left. To chart a course away from panic and sorrow towards gratitude and kindness. An invitation to skip the small talk and get straight to The Big Terrible Truths of Our Time: Death is as real as a ripe dandelion, and we’re all just huddled together waiting for our gust of wind (and boy is it getting windy out there). Also, lots of songs about dogs. RIYL: Big Thief, Alex G., Magnolia Electric Co., Nick Drake
Forever Ohm was conceived when Songwriter David Wintermute and Saxophonist Noah Combs attended a Global Music Festival in Nepal.
While collaborating with a local poet, they discovered the transcendental power of Ohm, the symbol of creation.
Upon return, they formed Forever Ohm with Drummer Jay Mclauren and Guitarist Chris Torres. The objective is to play for the earth. Combining genres, cultures, languages and traditions to capture the most human and candid life lessons through music.
Drenched in folk, blues and jazz. The ensemble also incorporates tinges and nuances of Latin, Soul, Classical and World Music.
