Drook is a pop band from Richmond, Virginia. Formed in 2019, the group splices together elements of indie, rock, and electronica, focusing them all to a single point on their recordings. Drook’s live show puts this synthesis on full display, bringing energy and dynamism to the band’s musically diverse catalog.

NC based Charlie Paso is the labor of love of Duncan McDonald and Nina Sarsozo. Spanning post rock, garage, noise, and country, their sound feels familiar, but finds new ground to cover. Through consistent regional shows and touring, the duo has adopted a boisterous live presence and are known for their energetic shows which range from euphoric, manic, harsh and sweet. Describing their first live performance post pandemic, music photographer John Guerin writes, “Hints of Pavement and Modest Mouse flutter through ‘50s pop and ‘70s psych before heading out to the ocean and riding a rolling surf back to now.” While primarily performing live for the last 7 years, Charlie Paso are currently working diligently on their second record to follow up their 2023 catharsis, “What do I have to look forward for”.
