BLENDR Presents: MIRA MIRA (NYC)
MIRA MIRA is the DJ moniker of NYC-based sonic manipulator, performance artist, and organizer Samira Mendoza. Her deejaying is a joy to behold – psychedelic intimacy, passionate and personal, sublimely jacked out improvisational genre-soup. Their radical expression can be heard in all aspects of their multidisciplinary work, including in Las Mariquitas, Recao Rulé, Tó Ara, Dyspheric, Uhaul Disco, and the experimental supergroup Spiral Generator, composed of Rage.inald, Kiernan Laveaux, T.Wan, 30,000AD, and Pamela_ And Her Sons.
In addition to her performance, MIRA MIRA will give a free presentation on the history of dance music and sound system culture at The Pinhook during the day on Friday December 19th!

Emerging onto the scene at the start of this year, Malice Alex is quickly carving out a signature sound that strikes the perfect balance between soulful warmth and resonant, melodic bass. Each set is infused with a touch of jungle and drum & bass, creating a captivating blend that feels like pure ear candy for the soul.
Round Three Winner: Mutait
Mutait (Tait Wayland) is an organizer and resident DJ for Post Op NYC. They’ve been mixing for nearly a decade, and have a lifelong interest in music that started with playing drums in early childhood. mutait’s sets span across genres drawing heavily from staples of queer nightlife, namely Detroit techno, electro, and UK hardcore. Their sets bring a sustained and driving energy to the dance floor with track sequences that emphasize groove and syncopation.
Lhee is a rising house DJ whose sound lives in the pocket where dark grooves meet clean, minimal bounce. Pulling inspiration from AYYBO, Deflee and the new-wave underground, her sets are built on thick basslines, rolling drums, and hypnotic rhythms that lock you in from the first drop. Known for her instinctive ear, she blends percussive textures with driving low-end energy, creating a signature vibe that’s both smooth and relentlessly groovy. Whether she’s warming up a room or pushing peak-time momentum, her mixes flow with intention.
