Feminist Bird Trivia

THIS IS A DOPE TRIVIA – ITS FREE SO COME! The Feminist Bird Club was founded in NYC by Molly Adams in 2016 as a way to leverage both their passion for birds and their passion for social justice into a cohesive whole. Since then, the Feminist Bird Club has expanded to chapters across so-called North America and Europe. Our goal is two-fold: Make birding and the outdoors inclusive and affirming to people who may not have safe access to it, and leverage people’s passion for the environment and social justice to help create lasting social change. More simply put: There is no reason why we can’t celebrate birds and support our most cherished beliefs in equity and justice at the same time. For us, it’s not either/or.

Cheers for Childcare

Every young child in NC deserves an opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed. But right now, our state’s child care system is in crisis. Parents can’t afford to pay more, programs can’t afford to stay open, & teachers can’t afford to work for such low wages. It’s time for urgent action. Come to the Pinhook on April 10th to learn how you can take immediate action and support the upcoming statewide child care mobilization. This is a family friendly event, so please come bring the whole family! We’ll have food and artmaking for the little ones and early childhood educators get a free drink!
