BANGZZ is back with their bold sophomore album, Maybe She’s Born with It, Maybe It’s a Trauma Response—and they’re bringing it to the stage in full force.
The nine track album comes packed with another round of snarky punk punches while also digging deeper into a sludgy 90s grunge that gives a headbanging nod to Nirvana and PJ Harvey in the same breath. It’s loud, raw, and unapologetically personal.
Song themes include finding your true authentic self, dissociation and depression, reproductive rights, generational trauma, self worth and unlearning all the ways you were taught to shrink yourself. Born from a place of self discovery and healing, it’s a sonic release of all the quiet, unspoken truths, now screamed. It’s the ripping off of a patriarchal “good girl” mask and howling at the moon, while inviting all who hear it, to do the same.
For this special performance, the duo will take the stage as a full 4-piece band, delivering an even heavier, high-voltage set. It’s BANGZZ, now with GAINZZ.
