Superintendo is a genre-curious punk band from Chapel Hill, NC that sometimes plays ska/dub. While they strive to make every single song an absolute banger, they also fold in some pretention wherever they can by shoehorning in some jazz, bossa nova, or prog (gross).  Basically, they play both genres: fast and slow. But mostly fast. Superintendo brings a no-pretensions approach to their music and performances where they strive to get everyone dancing and feeling welcomed with 10-foot arms.

Quit Everything is a four piece melodic skate punk band from Bristol, Tennessee. Influenced by a slew of bands from Nofx to Wilson Phillips, who blend fast guitars, pounding drums and melodic melody’s to create familiar sounds of somewhat catchy music.  They recently signed with Board to Death records and released our first full length “Entertaining Ghosts” earlier in February.

SOUND SYSTEM SEVEN: This lot are a top-drawer Fourth-Wave Ska band hailing from Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and they’re here to skank the night away with you lot! Remember, the only decent system is a sound system, alright?

Now, Ska’s more than just punk rock with some brass thrown in. It’s the daddy of Reggae music, and it’s still right at the forefront, always growing and evolving. It’s got its roots firmly set in Jamaican, British, and American cultures, see. Every kid (and every grown-up who was once a kid) who ever tooted a trumpet in the school band secretly loves a bit of Ska. And anyone who loves to move their feet? Well, they probably love Ska too, even if they don’t know it yet. Ska’s for everyone, from the shy kid at the back to the bloke in a mid-life crisis. Ska’s got you covered!

This lot are all about the good times, no lectures here. Sound System Seven are a right experienced bunch, and their live gigs are full of energy – that’s what sets them apart. Originals and covers alike, their songs are full of clever lyrics about what’s going on in the world, all wrapped up in catchy tunes that’ll get you skanking ’til your legs give out. Their sound’s clean and crisp, right from the front to the back, and it’s guaranteed to get you moving.

They’ve played everywhere, from The Carrboro Music Festival to the Festival for the Eno River, and all the best North Carolina venues like Cat’s Cradle, The Pour House, and Neighborhood Theatre. You’ll see them headlining their own gigs, or sharing the stage with the big names like The Toasters, Dave Wakeling & The English Beat, The Slackers, and The Pietasters.

Is your system sound? Can you shake it up and down? Can you take it downtown and turn it back around? Can you park it inna yard or drive it real hard? Feel the vibration ‘cross the city, ‘cross the nation in FOUR… THREE… TWO… ONE!
