Harold and Maude - Hal Ashby directs one of the funniest movies ever made. A disturbed youngster begins to get it on with a hell-cattin' septuagenarian with an appreciation of the sensual side of life. We are left with a sense that the young man's life is better. Some people consider this the only true movie, and set up shrines to it. Awesome.

9 - Tender Fruit - Christy Smith has one of the most beautiful voices around, and here songs shimmer with that nice happy melancholy.

12 - Shipwrecker - Ominous country-tinged rock from beneath the waves. Spot-on chops and gorgeous arrangements make for a penetrating wall of sound.
11 - Mosadi Music - Drawing the best elements of jazz, hip-hop, alternative rock, and afrobeat, this eclectic band has been tearing roofs off of suckas for years. Come get 'em.
