ORGANOS release a new CD, The Limbs EP on Pox World Empire Records!

11 - The Back Pockets: Sun-dappled, audience-enthusing flower people from Atlanta. Kind of Hippie Punk, but you know, way better than that.

Movie Night! *Forbidden Love*
The House of Yes - Very awkward situations, of the family variety, occur during a raging hurricane. Parker Posey is awesome, as always.

10 - Barton Carroll: Jazz-inflected folk rock with a serious pedigree. This guy is as famous as you can get without being famous. Come see him before he gets really famous.
9 - Wood Ear: One of my new favorite bands. Bad-ass country rock with a sweet side, great vocals, and some of the tightest musicianship around.

Lars and the Real Girl - Have you seen what they can do with artificial sex dolls these days? Ryan Gosling does, to the point that he falls in love with one. His friends find this to be very awkward. They judge him in mean ways. Will he perservere? No, and yes.

Schooner CD Release, Duck Key Sessions, exclusively on Cy Tunes.
12 - Schooner: Just fucking legendary. God I love Schooner.
11 - Erie Choir: Kind of like the best 70's balladry mixed with good backcountry soul.
10 - Veelee: Fantastic, hip pop songs. Delay-drenched guitar loops and spare, krauty drumming. One of the best new bands around.
9 - The Popular Kids (comedy by Kelly Crisp)

Movie Night! *Forbidden Love*
Harold and Maude - Hal Ashby directs one of the funniest movies ever made. A disturbed youngster begins to get it on with a hell-cattin' septuagenarian with an appreciation of the sensual side of life. We are left with a sense that the young man's life is better. Some people consider this the only true movie, and set up shrines to it. Awesome.

12 - Shipwrecker - Ominous country-tinged rock from beneath the waves. Spot-on chops and gorgeous arrangements make for a penetrating wall of sound.
11 - Mosadi Music - Drawing the best elements of jazz, hip-hop, alternative rock, and afrobeat, this eclectic band has been tearing roofs off of suckas for years. Come get 'em.
10 - Knives and Daggers - Asheville's kings of washy, melancholy dreamscapes. Gloomy, but it in a really pretty kind of way.
